Deacons
Why They Exist:
The ministry of Deacons exists to extend Christ’s love in tangible and compassionate ways. Their purpose is to ensure that no one in the church family feels forgotten or alone, especially during difficult seasons, by offering consistent care, connection, and support.
What It Looks Like:
This care often takes shape through delivering Christmas gift bags to shut-ins, supporting families during funerals and memorial services, hosting coffee hours, brunches, and soup suppers, and recognizing milestones such as Confirmation. Deacons also maintain regular contact with congregation members throughout the year and quietly step in wherever care is needed.
What They Do:
The Deacons care for members of the congregation through visits, phone calls, cards, prayer, and personal presence
Sacramental Support
Deacons prepare and set up Communion throughout the year, and assist with special services and church events.
Personal Presence & Support
The Deacons support individuals and families during times of illness, grief, and transition

Host Fellowship & Outreach
Deacons also help host fellowship meals and coordinate regular care outreach within the congregation.
